Home to dozens of diverse launch sites, the city offers flat water, waves, great beginner beaches and challenging sites for the advanced windsurfer.  For the curious, there are lessons, equipment rentals and plenty of locals willing to give you some great advice on this recreational activity. Fishing

From the remote marshes of San Jose Island to the pristine flays of the Upper Laguna Madre and the famed trout rocks of Baffin Bay, the Corpus Christi area offers a level of fishing that Texas Gulf Coast anglers wither want to boast loudly about or perhaps quietly keep to themselves. The Coastal Bend is known for its acres of shallow bays, all of them from the Gulf of Mexico by a series of narrow barrier islands. The region supports four separate bay systems: The San Antonio Bay system, the Aransas Bay system, the Corpus Christi Bay system and the Upper Laguna Madre system. Each has unique qualities, but, all of these bays are prolific fisheries.
